Walking Machine

Happy Monday! It's been awhile mainly because I have nothing new and exciting to report. I have been a total lazy bum the last few weekends and it's been nice. I did go see the final Harry Potter this past weekend. Dominic was adamant that I get up to speed on these movies because he's a pretty big fan so I watched the first seven movies over the last 6 months or so and ended up cramming the last two or three in the last couple weeks. I really enjoyed the series, or what I can remember of it. Due to Dominic's work schedule, we often didn't start the movies until after 9pm, which sadly made them go well past my bedtime and my memory of more than a few of the movies was a little foggy.

Not too much else is going on right now. Sorry for the boring post but I figured I ought to get something up before a month goes by or something. I did purchase a pedometer today though so I plan on walking like crazy to see how many steps I can get in, in a day. I am hoping this encourages me to walk more. I've only been walking to work about once or twice a week and I'd like to get that up to three or four times a week Unfortunately there are just days where I need to have my car (and also days where I just can't seem to get out of bed 15 minutes earlier - pathetic).

Oh! And my brother and his wife, Rowena, came over yesterday and Rowena has begun having contractions! She is due any day now and I can't wait to be Aunt Alison. I also got to feel the baby move for the first time and found out that your belly turns rock hard when it's contracting. Like a basketball! Crazy stuff. Sadly, the more I see other people going through pregnancy, the less I want that experience. I found myself getting anxious just talking to Rowena about what she's going through. Not that having a baby is anywhere in my near future. It is amazing to me the pain that women are able to live through. We pretty much rock.
