The Vow

It's been yet another long, crazy busy week. I think I have finally accepted that my life is just going to be insanely busy until about mid June when I get a bit of a Summer break from the work events and my good friends Courtney and Vinny have gotten hitched. This week at work was the final session for our Local Government group. Things ran fairly smoothly and even though I'm relieved to have one less class to plan for, I'll miss all the great people I met who graduated on Friday.

One of the classmates, for instance, made me cry twice during the sessions. He's having a movie made about his life story and it's a story that's definitely movie worthy. To hear him recount the accident he and his wife were in and the events that occurred because of it is both heart wrenching and heart warming. His story can be found in the book (and soon to be movie) called The Vow: The Kim and Krickett Carpenter Story. It's stories of survival and perseverance like his, that make me appreciate what really matters in life. Family, loved ones, personal happiness. Life is brief and sometimes we need to be reminded of that.
